Find answers to common questions about the Going Country Festival

When is the event?

3pm to 10pm Saturday 17th October – Gates open 2.45pm

Where is the event being held?

Muswellbrook Showground – Crn Rutherford Road and Maitland Street

Is there car parking available?

Yes, there is limited FREE car parking available inside the grounds of the showground.

Is there camping/caravan parking available?

There is Camping and Caravan sites available at the Showground where the event is being held. Bookings can be made directly with the Showground by phoning: 0458 876 773

Can I bring along my dog or pet?

No animals are permitted on the event site e.g. dogs. The only exemption to this are registered support animals, although we do not recommend animals attend the event due to the noise.

Will the event go ahead if it is raining?

Going Country is an all weather event, with the exception that in the case of a thunder storm, the event may be paused for the safety of performers and visitors.

Can I bring my own chair?

Yes you can. Fold up camp chair style chairs are welcome. You may also bring a camp rug to sit on, if that is more your style. There will be a designated seating area back from the stage for those bringing their own chairs.

Can I bring an umbrella?

Sorry, umbrellas are not permitted. We suggest you pack a poncho just in case.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

No food or drink is permitted to be brought into the event. The bringing of alcohol into the event is strictly forbidden. Bag searches will be conducted at entry gates.

Can I smoke or vape at the event?

The venue is a strictly non-smoking and no vaping event.
